Pomo Cowork · Make time for one thing
A study stopwatch for your own pace
Some ideas need a little longer. Count the time you spend learning, without deciding the finish before you begin.
Study stopwatch
Your time, at your pace.
Only on this page · No saved sessions · Reloading or leaving resets this timer
When a study stopwatch fits better than a countdown
A study stopwatch measures elapsed time instead of counting toward a deadline. Press Start studying and the display counts upward from zero. It suits a chapter of uncertain length, a practice problem that needs patience, or a first attempt at learning something new. The notebook setting leaves room for one topic rather than a fixed schedule.
Pause when an interruption takes you away from the work. Resume continues from the same elapsed time and leaves out the paused period. When you reach a useful stopping point, choose Finish to hold the final time on screen. New session returns the stopwatch to zero for another piece of learning. Reset clears the current interval without counting it as completed.
Elapsed time is a record of attention, not a measure of understanding. Before finishing, try explaining the idea without your notes or checking a fresh example. The page keeps only the current time and a count of sessions finished during this visit. Copy any result you want to retain into your own notes before leaving; this stopwatch has no saved log or account sync.
Follow the work, then reflect on the time
- Write the topic or chapter in the journal field.
- Press Start studying to count upward from zero.
- Pause for interruptions and resume when you return.
- Choose Finish at a useful stopping point. Note your result before starting a new session.
Why use this timer?
No preset finish
Let a chapter, question, or meaningful stopping point determine the interval.
Pauses stay out of the total
The clock holds its time during an interruption and continues when you resume.
A moment to reflect
Finish holds the final elapsed time so you can compare it with what you learned.
For study that does not fit a fixed block
- Difficult problems
- Stay with a question while you work through unfamiliar steps.
- Exploratory reading
- Follow an explanation without guessing how many minutes it will take.
- Practice sessions
- Measure a language, drawing, or coding exercise and pause when needed.
The Pomo Cowork difference
A stopwatch without a tracking commitment
Open the page and start counting. The topic and elapsed time stay here, without publishing activity or adding a session to your statistics. The full workspace is available separately when you want persistent tasks and recorded focus time.

How is a study stopwatch different from a study timer?
A countdown begins with a chosen duration and ends at zero. This stopwatch starts at zero and counts up until you pause or finish. Use it when the task has a natural stopping point but an uncertain length.
Does paused time count toward my study time?
No. Pause holds the current elapsed time. Resume continues from that point, excluding the paused period. Switching to another browser tab does not itself pause the stopwatch.
What is the difference between Finish and Reset?
Finish holds your result and adds one completed study session to this visit’s counter. Reset clears the current time without adding a completion. New session starts a fresh stopwatch after you finish.
Will my study time remain after reloading?
No. Reloading or leaving clears the stopwatch, topic, and completed-session count. There is no saved session list. Note any result you want to keep before leaving the page.
Does it show hours for longer sessions?
Yes. The display includes hours once elapsed time reaches one hour. There is no preset session length and no automatic break; choose your own stopping point and remember to take breaks.
